Notice lights in your instrument cluster are designed to warn you when the vehicle’s computer recognizes a failure or issue with a multitude of different systems. Code readers can tell you what system the computer is pointing to, but they don’t diagnose the issue with that system or tell you what is failing to cause the computer to set that code. Driving with these is possible, but inadvisable. There exists only one notice light for an entire system. This means that should another failure occur with a different section or part of the same system, there is no other way for the vehicle to bring this to your attention. Ignored issues may lead to additional damage and more costly repairs in the future. Allow Phil’s to diagnose, repair and reset these systems to avoid further damage.
