My car broke down right after I left their shop. I brought my car in for a safety inspection. The vehicle did have a good bit of problems which they were honest about. I appreciate that they were honest and recommended me to not put anymore money into it. However, my car was running fine when I brought it in, not over heating or any weird noises. As soon as I picked my car up and drove it to work it over heated due to low coolant. They 1- should've told me I was dangerously low on coolant so I could pay them to add more in. OR 2- they should have just added water to it so i didn't break down 10 minutes after leaving their shop. I've had a lot of mechanic just top off coolant for free just because it's dangerous not having it.
Sophi, I am sorry we had a mis-communication issue. When you called the day after you picked up the Jeep you said your heater was not working but never mentioned an overheat issue. At that time Jon told you that the heater had probably air locked due to the low coolant level in the radiator, which we knew about. The information about the coolant level and the fact that the external reservoir had been full but the radiator was not was on the inspection report we provided you. Where the communication error occured must have been when we negelected to talk to you about the low radiator level, but rather just listed that with the rest of the multitude of issues the vehicle had. In the future we will make sure to spend more time explaining options on those kinds of conditions on a vehicle. Thanks for bringing this to my attention.
